Do you have free time? Are you free to help?

Volunteer, we’ll show you how.
Fill the eggs, greet the guests,
Move those legs, there’ll be no tests.
No time to play, then you can pray.

Worship Words 1
>> Tuesday, March 17, 2009
God has given us 24 hours in every day, 168 hours in every week to worship Him in whatever ways we like the best….Sunday morning is just an hour or two of that time for you and I. In fact, it’s less than one half of one percent of your week.
Less than one percent of our week and yet we stand there and nonchalantly sing "You keep no record of my sin, you don't remember all my shame." We sing "Lord, I give you my heart, I give you my soul..this is my desire." Are the words that are coming out of our mouths true or are we just half-heartedly singing because it's what is expected. Do we just stand there and let everyone else sing while we "patiently" wait for the music portion of the service to be over. "Oh no, are they going to do another song?"
What goes through your mind as we worship together in song? Are you focused on the words of the music or are you planning your to do list for the week? I have to confess, I know I have been guilty of that before and that may happen sometimes. But my desire for us as a church is to take our worship to the next level and to truly "worship." To focus on what we are singing and to Whom we are singing--our Creator, Father, Saviour, Friend.
As we approach that small window of time we have to worship together on Sunday morning, set aside the worries of the week. Leave them at the door. Instead come in and expect God to meet with us. Plan on it. If enough of us do, He might just surprise us and show up. Read more...

Easter Egg Hunt
>> Tuesday, March 03, 2009
It is that time of year again that the Feather Sound Community Church celebrates Easter with the community Easter Egg Hunt. So come "jump" on in the fun and get "hopping" to sign up to be a part of one of the most exciting events we do all year. There is a spot for everyone to be a part of this great event and fellowship with the church and our community. I am hoping to coordinate an idea of who wants to be a part of this and start putting in place specific volunteers in specific areas.
Date of Event - April 11th @ 10:00.
The event needs help before, during and after.
The event needs help before, during and after.
The many areas include things like candy donation, crafts, hiding eggs, setting up, greeting people, photographer, bake sale, bounce monitor, game monitors, story time, food preparation, hunt helpers, registration, clean up, flyer distribution and lots more.
Please let me know if you are going to be available and for what part of the event you want to participate. I will use your willing hands and feet whenever you want to help out.
Thanks for being willing to help. Please pray for the event to be a great outreach to the community and time for us to bond together as a church.
Have a Blessed Day,
Debbie Wilson

ALIVE and Pipeline Students and Leaders Help out at Gathering Point Church
For the past two weekends, middle school, high school and college students joined the adult leaders from our church to help paint, pass out water and wash cars in anticipation of the launch of Gathering Pointe Church in Pasco County. The volunteers passed out more than 600 bottles of water, helped paint canvased and murals, and offered a totally free car wash to help raise awareness of the new church.
Over the two weekends, about 30 students gave up their Saturday's to be a part of the launch setup. We're looking forward to being able to continue to offer help to the church and to their pastoral staff. Check out GPC's lead pastor's blog to get a more detailed report on the weekend.
