Tenebrae

Tenebrae is the Latin word for shadows. The purpose of this unique worship is to recreate some of the emotional aspects of the passion of Christ Jesus – to remember the long shadow of suffering cast by His cross. Remember what Jesus did for you, dying in the darkness of noonday on Golgotha’s hill. As we read the Scripture and darken the room, we portray His love gift of sacrifice for our sins. Praise Him and return on Sunday to celebrate His resurrection!
